Our conference will be held at the Sibyl Centre, which is part of The Women’s College at the University of Sydney. The Women’s College is situated less than four kilometres from Sydney’s city centre in the grounds of the University of Sydney. The University campus is bordered by two major arterial roads, Parramatta Road (Great Western Highway) and City Road. Please enter via Western Avenue.

Getting to the Campus

The street address of the College is 15 Carillon Avenue, Newtown, New South Wales, 2042.

Parking: Parking is available at the University of Sydney Western Avenue car park from 3 pm on weekdays and all day during the weekend – pay and display (3 minutes’ walk from the College).  More information on parking can be found here: https://www.thewomenscollege.com.au/venue-hire/transport-parking/. 

Street parking options in Newtown, Glebe and Chippendale – requiring a 5-15 minute walk to campus.

Bus: There are several bus routes surrounding the campus. Use Transport NSW to plan your trip.

Train: The nearest railway station to the College is Redfern Station – approximately a 20-minute walk from the College. Central Railway Station, servicing both suburban and country trains, is a short bus or taxi ride away. 

From Sydney Airport

  • Train: Airport Line to Central Station, then connect to Redfern Station

  • Taxi/Rideshare: Approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic
